Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a per diem float phlebotomist to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves venipuncture for all ages, specimen handling, and data entry across multiple sites, with travel as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training, or 6+ months as a phlebotomist. Per Diem hours are based on business needs, up to 19 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program (or 6 months+ experience as a phlebotomist)

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
