Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples properly.
• Match requisition forms to specimens.
• Decontamination and data updating as required.
