Job summary

Labcorp in Salem, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, data entry, specimen handling, and travel to additional sites as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year+ phlebotomy experience preferred; certification from an accredited program is acceptable. Competitive compensation is offered with a focus on accuracy and patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
