Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join the Newport News, VA team. This per diem/casual role supports multiple clinics with hours up to 19 per week, offering exposure to diverse patient populations and locations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either phlebotomy certification or 6 months+ phlebotomy experience, with travel as needed and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 6 months+ phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
