Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This per diem/casual position has hours as needed, not to exceed 19 hours per week, with travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary collections, specimen handling for various tests, accurate data entry, and basic billing support. Requirements include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training, plus 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training.
• 6 months’ or more phlebotomist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
