Job summary

Labcorp in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, with travel to additional sites as needed.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–6:00pm, with overtime and rotating weekends possible. Minimum qualification is a high school diploma; preferred candidates have 2+ years phlebotomy experience and an approved certification. The role includes data entry, billing assistance and patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency preferred.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience preferred for clinical/hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed; reliable transportation required.
