Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Amarillo, TX area. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, and maintain patient information with accuracy while supporting multiple sites.

You will travel to additional clinics as needed, cover coverage shifts, and provide superior customer service in a fast-paced environment, with overtime and weekend rotation possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical/hospital settings.
• 1+ year experience assisting patients across all ages (pediatric to geriatric).
• Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 21+ years old; ability to pass color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs; provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required.
