Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our patient-care team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods across age groups, collect specimens for drug screens and other tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service across multiple sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and preferred phlebotomy experience. A color vision test and a valid driver's license are required, with occasional travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
