Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to join the southeastern region of Michigan and St Clair Shores. Schedule is Monday–Friday with hours varying 7:00am–8:00pm and rotating Saturdays. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, enter data, and assist with billing as needed.

This role offers exposure to multiple sites and patient populations, with potential for growth within Labcorp. A phlebotomy certification or training is required, and a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
