Job summary

Labcorp in Detroit seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our team, covering the Detroit, Grosse Pointe and St. Clair Shores area with schedule variability. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, enter data accurately, and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program (accredited).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
