Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist in Clinton Township, MI. You will perform venipuncture, collect samples for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and timely processing across multiple sites in the Detroit area.

The role emphasizes customer service, specimen handling, and travel to ensure coverage. A phlebotomy certification or training program is required, with potential for incentive-based earnings under PST plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Preferred: 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
