Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist for a part-time role serving the South Houston market, including Missouri City. You will operate x-ray equipment, perform diagnostic mammography, and ensure accurate positioning and exposure for high-quality images.

Required Texas license (TMB), ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, and completion of a two-year radiologic program. CEU maintenance and clinical experience are preferred to support patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Active licensure by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with documentation.
• Graduation from a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEUs and documented case numbers as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography procedures.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Educate patients about mammography and breast health.

Work Locations

South Houston Market - Alvin, Clear Lake, Pasadena, Pearland, East Pearland, Sugar Land, Brazos, Cinco Ranch, Memorial Villages, Sawyer Heights, and Missouri City

Work Hours

Part-Time schedule varies between Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Occasional Saturdays Required)

The Float Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:

• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
