Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist to support multiple Houston-area centers in a part-time role. You will operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography with emphasis on accurate positioning and exposure techniques.

Responsibilities include patient education, maintaining MQSA standards, and collaborating with radiology teams to deliver high-quality breast imaging services. Texas license and ARRT Mammography credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas Medical Board License (TMB).
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligible for advanced level exam with clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEUs every 3 years, 200 documented case numbers every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment for mammography and ensure high accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
• Provide patient education and maintain a patient-first approach.
• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and radiology staff to support quality breast imaging.

Float Mammography Technologist (Part-Time)

Work Location: All Houston area Solis Centers

Work Hours: (Part-Time) Shift Varies Based on Center Needs Between Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm. Occasional Saturdays Required.

The Float Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
