Job summary

Solis Mammography in Cypress-Fairbanks, TX, is hiring a Mammography Technologist who will operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography with a patient-first approach. Role is full-time, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance are available for qualified technologists. Must hold TX Medical Board license and ARRT Mammography certification, with MQSA/FDA CEU expectations.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB is required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with clinical experience.
• MQSA/FDA CEU’s every 3 years; 200 documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment for mammography procedures.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Provide patient education about the exam and breast health.
• Support radiology team and adhere to radiation safety standards.

Work Location: Cypress-Fairbanks - 11307 FM 1960 Rd W. Suite 340 Houston, TX 77065

Work Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (occasional Saturdays required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills; Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Complete patient education regarding the exam
  • Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered
  • Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
