Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital / St George Regional Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the clinical team with basic patient care tasks and coordination. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, providing comfort, and responding to patient and family requests.

Responsibilities include reporting patient data, assisting with telemetry when needed, transporting medications, and collaborating with RNs.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care and daily living activities.
• Reports and records patient care findings in a timely manner.
• May perform telemetry duties and assist on unit as needed.
• Transport medications to RN and collaborate with the team.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator duties and manage unit records.
• Implement plan of care under delegated supervision and ensure safety.
