Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot to execute test flights on HH-60W helicopters, certifying readiness after maintenance or modifications. You will determine airworthiness, file flight plans, troubleshoot in flight and on the ground, and support recovery and ferry flights as part of the Maintenance Recovery Team.

Candidates must hold FAA rotorcraft and instrument ratings, have 1,500 hours as a pilot with 500 in helicopters, TS clearance eligibility, and strong English

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must possess FAA commercial pilot certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings.

Responsibilities

• Perform test flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency after maintenance or modification on HH-60W helicopters.
• Determine airworthiness prior to flight release according to publications and procedures.
• Troubleshoot aircraft on ground and in flight; document deficiencies and provide corrective instructions.
• Conduct recovery flights and ferries to additional sites as required.
• Maintain and verify weight and balance, flight logs, and supporting forms.
