Job summary

Amentum is seeking to employ a Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot to execute test flights on HH-60W helicopters, certifying mission readiness after maintenance or modifications. The role involves determining airworthiness before flight release, performing ground and in-flight troubleshooting, and contributing to recovery flights and site ferries as needed.

Ideal candidates have FAA rotorcraft and instrument ratings, 1,500 hours total and 500 in helicopters (300+ in HH-60W or equivalent), and

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid FAA commercial pilot certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings.
• Must have 1,500 hours total flight experience with 500 hours in helicopters and 300+ hours in HH-60W or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute FCF test flights on HH-60W helicopters to certify mission readiness.
• Determine airworthiness prior to flight release per publications and procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting on the ground and in flight and document deficiencies.
