Actalent is seeking a seasoned software engineer to develop and integrate embedded software for aircraft systems and flight-test simulations. You will create design documentation, follow rigorous development processes, and craft test plans to verify requirements and customer specs.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, strong C++ and embedded development background, and at least five years in aerospace/defense environments, with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant bachelor's degree.
• C++ proficiency and embedded software development experience.
• At least five years of software development experience with embedded systems.
• Experience in aerospace/defense, Linux, Simulink, or control systems.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Experience at smaller companies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software for aircraft and aircraft test systems.
• Test it on aircraft and in high-fidelity virtual simulations to support flight-test activities.
• Create design documentation, follow established development processes, and develop test plans and procedures to verify system requirements and customer specifications.
