Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain flight software in a Linux environment, using C/C++ and RTOS concepts. You will participate in the full software lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver reliable embedded solutions for flight-critical systems.

The role requires a BS in Computer Science/Engineering, 4+ years of C/C++ embedded experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (active clearance preferred).

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field.
• 4+ years of industry experience programming in C/C++ in an embedded environment.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; active Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain embedded flight software.
• Participate in the full software life cycle from requirements through maintenance.
• Integrate embedded software with firmware and hardware components.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
• Document designs, tests, and results for verification and validation.
