Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to perform advanced life support on dispatched flights. You’ll complete patient care documentation and participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings.

Position requires EMT-P licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP trauma certs, and FP-C within 24 months. FP-C certification and instructor credentials are preferred for advanced roles. GP risk safety standards are followed for liftoff and flight operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for every dispatched flight within deadline.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency via ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Keep licensure, certifications, CE, safety and procedures documentation updated.
