Job summary

Air Methods Clinical in Alamogordo is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our helicopter transport team. You will perform high‑level pre-hospital life support, triage patients, and ensure safe, rapid transfer to receiving facilities.

This role requires state licensure compliance, strong documentation, and participation in pre‑mission briefings. Qualified candidates have at least three years in busy 911 or flight settings, EMT-P credentials, and a commitment to safety with 24/7 on‑call

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and at least three years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
Minimum three years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system.
Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide pre-hospital advanced life support including assessment, triage, and treatment.
Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings; assist liftoff and navigate as needed.
Ensure equipment readiness and aircraft safety; report any malfunctions.
Participate in patient follow-up, outreach, and education activities.
