Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Oklahoma is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our rotor-wing EMS team. You will provide pre-hospital and interfacility ALS care, complete electronic patient care records, and participate in pre-mission briefings and liftoff checklists.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of 911 or critical care experience, EMT-P licensure, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP; FP-C within 24 months; instructor certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in states served.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight on time.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact until handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures as required.
• Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
• Foster positive relationships with EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in briefings and debriefings.
• Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot-related tasks as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and conduct aircraft safety briefings.
• Fill open shifts within the assigned area as directed.
