Job summary

Air Methods in Carlsbad, NM, seeks a Flight Paramedic to provide pre-hospital ALS and critical care during life‑saving transport. You will assess, triage and treat patients on 24‑hour shifts, working within CBS medical director guidelines to ensure safety and quality care in a helicopter environment.

Minimum 36 months of busy 911 transport or flight experience within the last 5 years is required; the role offers a stipend and opportunities to advance clinical skills in a dynamic community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience or training.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system.
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pre-hospital advanced life support including assessment, triage and treatment.
• Carry out mission goals with safety as the top priority throughout transport.
• Maintain licensure, certifications and ongoing education as required.
• Assist with liftoff checklists, communications and navigation tasks as needed.
• Contribute to pre-mission briefings, debriefings and post-mission documentation.
