Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air medical team. You will provide advanced life support during patient transport to medical facilities and respond to scene calls, ensuring safety and high-quality patient care throughout missions.

The role includes completing electronic records, daily base checks, and flight-related tasks while maintaining certifications and competence. Compensation includes a starting hourly rate plus GEO modification; full-time positions and benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certs in BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/ITLS/PHTLS are preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the required timeframe.
• Perform daily base checks including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from call to handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by the program.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in briefings/debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot support when needed.
• Adhere to safety standards for crew, patient and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.

Education

EMT-P license/certification

BLS ACLS PALS NRP trauma cert

FP-C within 24 months

Instructor certs: BLS ACLS PALS PEPP ITLS PHTLS

NREMT-P certification may be required
