Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our helicopter air medical team. The position offers starting pay of $20.92/hour plus overtime and a $4.17/hour GEO modification, with opportunities for advancement and continued education.

You will perform advanced life support in the field and in hospital settings, complete electronic patient care records on each flight, participate in pre-mission briefings, maintain licensure and certifications, and collaborate with EMS colleagues,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting required.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual
• Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Attends pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing and completes necessary documentation.
• Assists in pre-mission liftoff checklist and Pilot assistance when needed, i.e. radio, navigational, and visual observation activities
• Complies with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conducts aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Responsible for filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director
