Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our helicopter air ambulance team. You will provide advanced life support from first contact through handoff to the receiving facility, while maintaining meticulous patient care documentation.

Starting pay is $20.92+ per hour DOE with an additional $4.17/hr GEO modification. The position requires EMT-P licensure, multiple ALS certifications, and FP-C within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff with documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures in Education Manual.
• Maintain equipment and supply knowledge and routine maintenance for emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Act as a medical flight team member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings/debriefings and complete required documentation.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot support as needed.
