Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care on dispatched flights. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, ongoing training, and adherence to safety protocols from pre-mission through post-flight debriefings.

Starting pay is $20.92+ per hour with DOE and a $4.17/hr GEO modification. Requires EMT-P license and FP-C within 24 months, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP and trauma certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, which includes narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and advanced procedures.
• Knowledgeable in use and maintenance of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Functions as a medical flight member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings and complete necessary documentation.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and Pilot assistance when needed.
• Adhere to safety standards prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by Regional Director.
