Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is seeking a Systems Engineer II to design, develop, and test flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft. You will join a cross-functional team focused on advanced avionics within an AGILE environment.

The role requires 2+ years in a Systems role with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, or Python; some travel is expected and relocation assistance may be provided. A STEM degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with at least 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 2+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems used in military helicopters and aircraft.
• Grow knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Integrates soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment delivering quality products.
• Travel domestically and internationally <10% as needed.
