Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking a Registered Nurse with 3+ years of recent critical care experience to join our team in Lehi, Utah. You will provide high-quality critical care during transport, document care thoroughly, and participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings.

A strong focus on safety, aviation standards, and ongoing professional development is required. Travel (~5%) is expected; flight-related duties may include pre-mission liftoff checks and collaboration with pilots.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice and maintains thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintains competency through ongoing education and training; reports educational needs.
• Ensures equipment is functional and supplies are onboard for rapid response.
• Participates in pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and completes required documentation.
• Assists in liftoff and with pilot duties as needed; conducts safety briefings and adheres to safety standards.
• Acts as preceptor and participates in orientation of new employees and students.
