Job summary

Air Methods in Quartzsite, AZ is seeking an experienced RN Flight Nurse to join our Clinical Flight Crew, delivering lifesaving care during helicopter transport and following CBS medical director guidelines.

You will perform triage and treatment, maintain documentation, participate in pre-mission briefings, and mentor others. Requires 3+ years of critical care/emergency nursing, state RN licensure, and willingness for 24/7 on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice from initial contact to handoff to receiving facility.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintain equipment functionality and adequate onboard supplies.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings; assist with liftoff checklists.
• Assist pilots with radio, navigational, and visual observation activities.
• Support neonatal/pediatric transport and advanced procedures as approved.
• Participate in outreach, education, and orientation activities.
• Attend Air Methods CBS meetings and projects.
