Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide to play a key role in delivering high-quality home care. You will be the first face clients see, helping ensure a positive experience from day one while coordinating with the branch team for timely updates and seamless care.

You'll gain experience across multiple clients and situations, with opportunities for leadership growth within Personal Care Services. Travel across the service area is required, with flexible shifts and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required where state regulations mandate.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required.
• Basic technology skills to use mobile devices and electronic systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to travel across the service area and lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Providing personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with daily living activities.
• Performing housekeeping and household support.
• Assisting with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records.
• Providing coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs.
• Traveling throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
• Promoting Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care.
