Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Fort Worth, Texas, PRN with a flexible schedule. The role involves welcoming new clients, providing personal care, and coordinating with the branch team to ensure a smooth care experience.

You'll gain experience across multiple clients and situations, with opportunities for leadership as you grow within Personal Care Services. Travel is required within the assigned service area, and the position offers meaningful work and career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required where state regulations apply.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• HHA, CNA, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, MA, or similar certification where required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the service area to support clients.
• Promote Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care.
