Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Tyler, Texas, offering PRN, flexible scheduling, and travel between client visits. You will be the first face clients see, ensuring a positive Start of Care and seamless care experiences across our branch network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required by state regulations.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required.
• Basic technology skills and comfort with mobile devices and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout assigned service area to support clients.
• Promote Elara Caring’s mission and commitment to quality care.
