Job summary

Belk is seeking a Support Flex Associate in Cullman, AL. This hourly role drives sales by processing inbound truck deliveries, stocking merchandise, and preparing products for the sales floor.

You will support store fulfillment, assist customers, maintain back-of-house organization, and collaborate with the merchandising team on floor sets and promotions. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and adherence to store policies.

Qualifications

• Dedication to customer service and a drive to achieve store objectives.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication.
• Comfortable with technology (smartphones, tablets, Windows).
• Available for a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must regularly move around all store areas and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
• Efficiently unload cartons from truck deliveries, separating cartons by department, processing, removing plastic, and hanging items to ensure readiness for the sales floor.
• Complete sensor tag application, product transfers, damage processing, and RFID tasks to support inventory accuracy.
• Assist with facilities processes, including lighting/recycling programs, work orders, store maintenance, and housekeeping responsibilities.
• Support merchandising and store fulfillment teams with floor sets, product presentations, promotional sets, price changes, and picking and packing customer orders.
• Maintain daily operational standards by replenishing supplies, supporting store recovery efforts, and ensuring cleanliness.
• Organize and store tools, supplies, excess stock, fixtures, and equipment to promote efficiency.
• Stay informed of products, promotions, policies, and store events to enhance execution.
• Enhance in-store customer experience by greeting and assisting customers, especially during peak periods.
• Contribute to a positive store culture by sharing knowledge and celebrating team achievements.
• Follow asset protection procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols, supporting shortage control.
