Job summary

Belk Rocky Mount is seeking a Support Flex Associate in an hourly role to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by processing inbound truck deliveries and ensuring new merchandise is ready for customers.

You will assist with outbound merchandising, floor sets, promotions, and stocking, while maintaining back-of-house organization and knowledge of store events. Expect flexible, customer-centered work with teammates.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
• Unload cartons from truck deliveries, separate by department, process, remove plastic, and hang items to ready for sales floor.
• Complete sensor tag application, product transfers, damage processing, and RFID tasks for inventory accuracy.
• Assist with facilities processes, including lighting/recycling programs, work orders, store maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Support merchandising and store fulfillment teams with floor sets, product presentations, promotional sets, price changes, and picking/packing customer orders.
• Replenish supplies, support store recovery, and keep areas clean; organize tools, supplies, excess stock, fixtures and equipment.
• Stay informed of products, promotions, policies, and store events to enhance execution.
• Enhance in-store customer experience by greeting and assisting customers during peak times and other tasks as assigned.
• Contribute to a positive store culture by sharing knowledge and celebrating team achievements.
• Follow asset protection, safety guidelines, and security protocols, supporting shortage control.
