Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and task-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe, quality-based, survey-ready healthcare environment as required to maintain Joint Commission Accreditation.
• Greet customers or potential patients in the front area or near the clinic.
• Clean and organize the clinic space daily, including trash removal, supply logging, and cleaning examination rooms.
• Answer questions following HIPAA guidelines; consult with providers on scope of services.
• Manage waiting room flow using the Patient Queue, Appointment Tool, and Patient Kiosk systems.
• Complete patient registration and place the patient under the scheduler book for the provider on duty.
• Verify patient identity using government-issued ID.
• Describe payment options, collect payments, and log in the EHR; collect insurance information.
• Scan documents or alert provider to complete scanning.
• Escort patient to exam room and determine chief complaint; obtain vitals and history; enter data in the EHR.
• Process patients in waiting area per clinic flow and guide on registration, wait times, and services.
• Answer phones and complete daily patient call backs per policy.
• Participate in off-site events and prepare weekly orders and shipping packages.
• If float: travel to designated clinics within geographic area.
