Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, collaborating with other providers to ensure efficient flow and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include taking detailed histories, ordering labs/imaging, diagnosing, initiating therapy or referrals, emergency stabilization, and patient education.

State licensure and DEA required.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification; ER/UC experience preferred outside of clinical rotations.
• Active and current licensure, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• DOT Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed health histories, review records, develop medical assessments, and order labs/imaging as appropriate
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate facilities
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization in events such as cardiac arrest, shock, or allergic reactions
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine status and plan
• Provide health care guidance and health promotion to patients and families
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
