Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an RN for our Clinical Float Pool to assess, plan, and provide patient care across sites within the market. The role emphasizes flexibility, safety, and evidence-based practice in a fast-paced environment.

The position supports a full-time schedule (36 hours/week) with nights/evenings and requires an associate degree in nursing, current state RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS as assigned. Travel between Mercy Health sites may occur.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing (required)
• Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) (preferred)
• Current nursing license in the designated state of employment (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Various (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS - AHA) -American Heart Association required based on specialty assignment
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care (required)

Responsibilities

• Float to multiple sites within markets based on competency.
• Schedule day-of staffing and travel as needed.
• Provide patient care following established standards.
• Coordinate nursing care and clinical decisions using best evidence.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Act as patient safety advocate.
