Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an RN to join the West Hospital float pool. The Registered Nurse will float across departments and sites to provide continuous patient care, adapts to staffing needs, and collaborates with the clinical team under a manager or designee.

This role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based nursing and flexible scheduling within a faith-based health system. Requirements include an active nursing license in the designated state, 1 year of acute care RN experience, and BLS;

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing (required).
• Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
• Current nursing license in the designated state of employment (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Various (required).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association based on specialty assignment (required).
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care (required).

Responsibilities

• Float to various departments and sites within the markets as needed.
• Coordinate nursing care plans and document care and responses.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and patient safety activities.
• Support team with staffing needs and day-to-day patient care scheduling.
