Job summary

CARETenders Westborough is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support patients in home care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will provide treatment, exercise instruction, and education aimed at improving well-being within the established plan of care.

Responsibilities include following state laws, guiding patient exercises, coordinating with the care team, and educating patients and caregivers on therapy activities.

Qualifications

• Current license/registration to practice physical therapy in state of practice.
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (preferred).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise treatment plan by PT; perform only authorized procedures.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, transfers, and ADL tasks.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
