Job summary

Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont (GAP) is seeking a PRN Appointment Scheduler to support our outpatient practice during weekday business hours. This flexible role offers coverage as needed, without nights or weekends, in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will be the main point of contact for patients, coordinating appointments with the right provider, and ensuring accurate data entry in our scheduling system while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in appointment scheduling or similar.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good computer and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
• Manage a high volume of patient calls and scheduling requests.
• Enter and maintain appointment information in the scheduling system.
• Provide patients with clear information on dates, times, locations, and instructions.
• Deliver professional, compassionate customer service.
