Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Scheduler I to coordinate patient appointments for office visits and procedures. You will manage physician schedules, handle triage messages, and assist with patient registration and financial transactions.

You will also support scheduling radiology/lab, recall appointments, and chart preparation in EMR, while maintaining high-quality customer service in a fast-paced medical office setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service in a medical office.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with basic understanding of healthcare plans.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for office visits and procedures.
• Assist with high call volume.
• Maintain physicians schedules (visits and procedures).
• Take triage messages for medical staff.
• View patient visit notes and physician orders; assist in registration and financial transactions.
• May schedule radiology/lab and recalls.
• Assist with check-in/check-out of patients.
• Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges daily.
• File records in EMR and prepare charts; scan documents into EMR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
