YAI is expanding its Per Diem/Floater Direct Support Professional team in Rockland County. DSPs support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live independently, participate in their communities, and achieve personal goals.

The Per Diem/Floater position offers a flexible schedule, ideal for a second job or balancing school or family responsibilities while earning income and gaining professional skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands including lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; documenting services for billing.
• Basic computer skills including email, Workday and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in maximizing strengths and building positive relationships.
• Support personal goals and community involvement through respectful communication.
• Maintain supervision and safety, follow program guidelines and fire safety training.
• Provide supervision and care across settings per individual plans and BSPs.
• Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration as prescribed.
• Complete required trainings and documentation for compliance.
