Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Shortage Control Associate to help keep our store safe and welcoming while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers with a warm smile, perform bag checks when required, and report theft incidents to leadership while supporting shortage reduction programs. This role requires energetic interaction, reliability, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Strong communication and professional presentation at all times.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting at entrances and exits.
• Monitor entry points and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Conduct bag checks when appropriate and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
