Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and perform only those procedures defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition; coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the PT assistant scope.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
