Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to residents at Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD, delivering resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health support in a long-term care setting.

Shifts vary with a FLEX schedule, including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus plus premium differentials and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board or in process within four months of date into the position.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education: minimum of 12 hours; maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility, vital signs, and documentation.
• Support infection prevention, housekeeping, and participation in wellness activities.
