Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to care for residents in long-term care settings. You will perform resident-centered nursing care and daily living tasks under RN supervision, ensuring safety and comfort while following care plans and infection control policies.

The role requires CNA certification and a minimum age of 16, with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA certification with State Board within four months of start date; facility provides training.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours continuing education required.
• Possible Driver role with Sanford Driving Policy in some states.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Perform basic health care tasks: bathing, toileting, grooming and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and mobility with proper techniques.
• Assist with meals, hydration and nourishment, and support wellness programs.
