Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting the nursing team under RN supervision.

Shift schedules vary and include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for eligible applicants, with a FLEX premium and weekend/evening differentials as described.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board, or enrolled in training to obtain certification.
• Minimum age 16; prior long-term care CNA experience preferred.
• Complete yearly competency testing; 12 hours CE annually.
• UAP Registry compliance if applicable.
• May require Sanford driving policy on driving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, ROM, and vital signs per care plan.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and recreational activities.
