Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is seeking experienced ESL educators to provide personalized, 1-on-1 lessons to students worldwide. You set a consistent schedule and teach ESL to Singaporean and Hong Kong students using Cosmo curriculums.

You will meet students weekly for 50-minute sessions, creating a welcoming online classroom and maintaining reliability, timeliness, and thoughtful instruction. This independent contractor role offers pay per class plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet and a Windows or Mac PC with a suitable setup.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available 6-9 AM EST Mon-Fri or weekends.
• Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability.
• Private and quiet location required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students professionally.
• Attend all classes on time in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
