Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is seeking experienced ESL tutors to deliver 1-on-1 instruction to students based in Singapore and Hong Kong, with a flexible schedule set by you. Classes are 50 minutes each, in an online format. You will teach using the Cosmo curriculum and provide a welcoming, patient learning environment.

The role is an independent contractor position with pay of $20 USD per class plus incentives. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL teaching experience, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection.
• Access to Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
• Available between 6-9 AM EST Monday through Friday or weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability weekly.
• Location in United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
